About the methodology

The CHC Framework

Our test is grounded in the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) theory of cognitive abilities, the most widely accepted and empirically supported framework in intelligence research. CHC identifies broad cognitive domains that together form the structure of human intelligence.

What we measure

Fluid reasoning (Gf) — Your ability to solve novel problems, recognize patterns, and think abstractly without relying on prior knowledge.

Visual-spatial processing (Gv) — Your capacity to mentally manipulate objects, understand spatial relationships, and visualize transformations.

Verbal analogy — Your ability to identify relationships between concepts and apply analogical reasoning.

Working memory (Gsm) — Your ability to hold and manipulate information in short-term memory.

Scoring

Raw scores are weighted by question difficulty and normalized to the standard IQ distribution (mean = 100, SD = 15). This produces scores comparable to professional cognitive assessments, though our test is designed for educational and entertainment purposes.

Limitations

No online test can replace a comprehensive assessment by a qualified psychologist. Our test provides an estimate and should be interpreted as a general indicator, not a clinical diagnosis. Factors like fatigue, distraction, and test anxiety can affect results.
